Greenworks - Computer De-manufacturing

Goodwill Industries runs a computer de-manufacturing program here in Austin.  The coordinator, Courtney Johnson, assured us that this is a great activity for our pack.
  1. Tour of the Goodwill Community Center
  2. Training and practice in computer de-manufacturing
  3. Visit to the Goodwill Computer Museum
The event will last around 2 hours.

Scouts who participate are eligible for the following belt loops:
  • Conservation
  • Computer
  • Engineering
  • Leave No Trace
Based on feedback from the pack (thanks for all you participated), we have determined a time and date for the event:

Saturday
March 6, 2010
3:00pm

To participate:
  1. Sign-up (so we know approximately how many people to expect)
  2. Download and fill-out the Volunteer Release form.
  3. Find a pair of work gloves that fit your Cub Scout (the gloves available at Goodwill are likely too big for little hands)
  4. Bring your camera!
  5. Have fun!
Location:
